Alice Kuipers collaborates with Free Flow Dance
Check out the ideas flowing between author Alice Kuipers and Jackie Latendresse at Free Flow Dance! Here's a brief message from Alice telling us about it.
"Jackie L and I were thinking of doing a dance collaboration for lugo. To the text, included below, she will have two dancers in white sacs (kind of like eggs, but more fluid) moving (we haven't talked about music yet). We need the text to be projected...can it be projected onto the sacs?"
Absolutely! We'll have video projection working for Alice and Jackie, and below is a sneak peak, first draft of Alice's poem:
Winter Haiku
over blanket white
frost spells on cobweb branches
yesterday’s stories
a clotted river
the turbulence of winter
water between us
air cold as old grief
the sun weak from exhaustion
ice, empty and light
a window open
we were leaves before the fall
hoar frost scars the glass
the crows fly blackly
the field is low and empty
you are a snowman
